  1. Fried pig skins have always gotten a bad name in the past, and I will be the first to say, I love them! The footballs have never been made of “pig skins” the name came from “from an archaic English sport called mob football or, among the more academically minded, medieval football. The basic idea was to move an inflated pig’s bladder between neighboring villages, sometimes kicking it onto the balcony of an opponent’s church.” What I found very interesting is that pig skins “have dropped by $31 million since 2004, when they reached $134 million”. I had no idea that the pigskins were ever that popular. I think one of the reasons that they were so popular is because of the low carb fad diets. I remember when I was younger trying fresh fried pork skin, and it was great. I hope in the coming years, the fried porkskins become popular again.
